2013 was our introduction to Chance the Rapper. He is one of the dopest emcee’s to come out in some time. His delivery and wordplay is on par with some of the best in the game right now. Acid Rap is his debut mix tape that has received tons of critical praise from every major music outlet from Stereogum to Rolling Stone this year. Acid Rap is a very solid collection of songs. Chance is quirky, witty, a little odd, yet a little hood. Chance is extremely likeable on wax and spits with honesty and venom throughout Acid Rap. One of my favorite tracks off the album is today’s SOTD,  “Everybody’s Something” which also features vocals  from Saba and BJ the Chicago Kid. If you haven’t had a chance to cop Acid Rap, I suggest that you do. It is one of the best albums of 2013.
