As we head into the Super Bowl week, we bring you an extra special Monday Motivate.
Recently a heroic young man by the name of, Sam Berns, passed away due to complications from his life long battle with Progeria. Progeria is an extremely rare genetic disorder wherein symptoms resembling aspects of aging are manifested at a very early age. Most who are diagnosed with it live till their mid-teens or early twenties.
Bringing it back to football for a minute, Sam was an avid lover of Boston sports, and was set to be the honorary captain during the Patriots vs. Colts playoff game in Massachusetts a couple weeks back. His loss was heartfelt for all who knew and were affected by his presence.
We encourage you to check out more of his inspiring story, by watching the HBO documentary film, “Life According to Sam,” but more importantly, choose to live by some of the words he left for us.
“No matter what problems we are facing, there’s always room for happiness in our lives.”
Well said Sam.
Have a great week everyone.
