We’ve destroyed our body all week, and have a big leg day tomorrow so we really could take the day off, but what’s the fun in that?  I’m just kidding, a day off is actually what your body needs, but I’m just an idiot and can’t sit home.  Because of how much work we’ve been putting in, today I literally just went to the gym to get in a light body weight upper body workout in, and some stretching:

 

Warmup:

  • Bike 10 minutes
  • Foam roll 15 minutes
  • Stretch 15 minutes

Push-Ups

Pull-Up/Push-Up Failure Test:  This is a staple workout of mine.  Bodyweight movements are great for you, and I’ve found develop better muscle hardness then anything else I’ve ever done.  For this test you want to do the following, 12 sets, back to back of pushups and pull-ups to failure with 45 seconds between sets.  Track each set (Pull-ups first) and don’t rest until after you complete both exercises.  Feel free to change hand positions for each set, just get good range of motion and tight core during both exercises.  Girls, either use a band to assist in the pull-ups as in the picture.
