Happy Friday Ya’ll! Let’s end this week on a good note. Today’s SOTD is “The Struggle” by a new band hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, called Grizfolk. Sweden is known for its dance pop and EDM acts such as ABBA, Ace of Base, and Avicii, but now the country is showing it’s muscle in the world of rock n’roll. Enter Grizfolk.  Grizfolk sound like a combination of Passion Pit, The Head and the Heart, and the Cure. They mix country and folk with electro pop and synthesizers. Call it a complicated blend of fun I guess. “The Struggle” is a strong first single, that’s made for radio, but still has that indie edge. The song has a futuristic feel yet also sounds like something that you have heard before.  The band is now holding court in Los Angeles where they have been captivating audiences with their incredible live shows. Their debut album comes out this summer and they will be spending alot of 2014 on the road. Check out “The Struggle” and watch out for this band this year. They are one of my artists to watch in 2014.
