Another year, another Oscar’s come and gone. Known as the most glamorous night in Hollywood, last night’s red carpet didn’t disappoint.

With a few extremely distinct trends emerging, the red carpet was full of beautiful gowns and stars, but was also lacking in variety. Most actresses showed up in plunging necklines, sparkling metallics or navy and black gowns.

Some of the night’s most notable were Kate Hudson in a stunning Atelier Versace gown with a

removable cape, Sandra Bullock in a fitted midnight blue McQueen and Lupita N’Yongo in a custom Prada ballgown.

But not all the stars hit it out of the park. Anna Kendrick’s J. Mendel gown overpowered the actress’ tiny frame, Jessica Biel’s Chanel gown made the stunning star look unkempt and Chrissy Teigen’s wet-look hair and floral dress looked more like she was stepping out of the shower than on the red carpet.
