I know alot of people have given up on Chris Brown. His antics in his personal life have been pretty douchey. I can totally get on board with that. But I’m not ready to give up on him as a solo artist yet. He is still one of the top 10 artists in the R&B/pop game and C Breezy can definitely put together a hit. On Tuesday, Brown released his latest LP, X. It is a very good album from top to bottom. Brown is still following along in that Usher model of R&B/pop crossover star. He can do uptempo dance tracks and make traditional urban R&B tracks. Today’s SOTD is one of the highlights off X, the very awesome “Autumn Leaves” featuring a verse from rap’s Langston Hughes, Kendrick Lamar. K-Dot is especially fierce and on point on “Autumn Leaves,” but he compliments Brown’s subtle XX like croons on this tender alternative-esque track. The song has been on repeat on my iPod for days. Take a listen and let me know what you think. Enjoy today’s SOTD, “Autumn Leaves” by Chris Brown feat. Kendrick Lamar.

Unfortunately I can’t get a video for this track yet, but this link has the full audio on it. Song is dope.
