THE STRATEGY ROOM

For far too long we’ve allowed the marketing and entrepreneurial worlds to be dominated by white males (yes, I’m one of them). Often lacking networks or previous experience (a bullshit chicken or the egg problem) minority candidates find themselves unable to break into the industry and struggle even more to advance once they’re in. BIPOC, LBGTQ and Female candidates simply don’t have the control over their own destiny or opportunities in the marketing world. THE STRATEGY ROOM is my attempt to help change that.

TSR is a mentorship program for young minority (BIPOC, LGBTQ, Women) talent to learn real agency skills from my network of amazing friends and marketing leaders. I want to try to transfer not just my knowledge, but also my network to give these young adults the best chance possible at entering and excelling in the marketing world. Because Knowledge + Network = Opportunity.

Classes are Tuesday nights from 7-8p EST. Each class we breakdown into 2-3 segments:

• Educate: Teaching a specific skill or detail of the strategic marketing world (ie. What’s an insight? or How to write a brief)

• Converse: A discussion topic with an interesting guest from around the marketing world OR one of our students

• Help: A student presents a real challenge their facing in their career and we try to help
